イブラ・ワ・ハイトはアラビア語で『針と糸』。
長引くシリア紛争で生活基盤のすべてを失いつつあるシリア人女性たちに『針と糸』で収入の道を開くプロジェクトです。

私たちはシリア紛争被災者の自活をサポートするため、手芸・刺繍資材を提供し、製品を適性価格で買い取り、日本等で販路を開拓することで、シリア紛争被災者、特に女性・子ども世帯に、針と糸で収入の道を開くことを目的としています。

オンラインショップでは、シリア国外で避難生活を送る女性達が制作したハンドメイドの刺繍作品、アクセサリーを販売しております。

＊The Ibra wa Khayt project＊
' Ibra wa khayt' means 'needle and thread' in Arabic.

Under the difficult situation caused by the ongoing crisis, Syrian women are seeking to support and care for their families by using their own skill. We, Ibra wa Khayt' decided to assist them with some simple implements, such as needles and thread, so they can rebuild their future.

Our project seeks to:
・Establish a way for Syrian women to generate income.
・ Maintain and nurture the tradition of household handicraft.
・Ease mental stress through the relaxation of handicraft work.
・Establish arrangements for product development, sales, and distribution to provide a viable business operation.

We see this activity not as support or charity, but a joint venture that we hope they will be able to operate as their own business in the near future.
